Generali is proud to be awarded the “Juvenile Health Insurance Initiative of the year – Hong Kong” at the Insurance Asia Awards 2020 with LionGuardian, the Gift of Life, an unlimited claim Critical Illness product.
The award winning product, LionGuardian is the first and only* unlimited claim Critical Illness product, covering 138 types of critical illness including congenital defects and mental health conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette Syndrome. For Cancer, Stroke and Heart attack, it offers 100% for every claim for an unlimited number of times until age 100. After 100% of sum assured is paid, future premiums are waived so the insured can still enjoy lifetime protection without further payment.
Vincent Lee, Division Head of Product Development at Generali says, “For children, they can be insured from day 15 to 100 years old with unlimited claims for Major Critical Illness, so the protection spans across their lifetime. If at any time they are unfortunately stricken by critical illness, they can receive a lump sum payment to help them with medical or other expenses, so the focus can be on recovery. It truly is a Gift of Life.”
Now in its fifth year, the Insurance Asia Awards recognizes insurance firms in the Asia Pacific that successfully navigate around various market challenges and come up with creative insurance initiatives while delivering exceptional value to its customers.
